La Paloma

Our Story

La Paloma was born in 2004, through the desire of one family to create a restaurant in harmony with the authentic beauty of the island. We started very small, not really knowing what it would become, but knowing that we wanted to offer fresh homemade food cooked up by chef Prasuna Coppini in a simple, friendly ambiance. She learned traditional italian cooking with her mother in Tuscany and inherited her hands. She then travelled the world and created her own style, fusing different flavours but always staying true to the quality of the ingredients.

When we first found the place, it was a run down finca. A dear friend gave us the idea to brighten up the dark finca using light blue and white paint. And so we did. Another dear friend and artist, Orietta Sala, offered her help by painting flowers and birds on the walls. And so little by little, with the help of friends, locals and a bit of magic the place started to create itself. Located in the middle of the island, in the small village of San Lorenzo, where there is only a church, a school, and one local bar, the restaurant sits in the midst of citrus orchards laden in winter with oranges, tangerines & lemons, and delighting us in spring with the fragrance of their flowers.

The Power ofFamily &Community

The Power of Family & Community

We are a big family, so naturally this is the air you breathe here ! We didn’t have any experience in hospitality, but always loved cooking, hosting and welcoming people into our home, that is what we wanted to transmit to our guests when we opened.

Now, 20 years later, you still breathe the same air, even if we have grown and expanded to what La Paloma is today. It has been an overwhelming journey seeing how, if you believe in what you are doing, dreams can come true against all odds. La Paloma would not be what it is today if it wasn’t for the people that have been supporting us and believing in our project from the very beginning. We like to be happy, and to see people having a good time is a great blessing for us!!!

From our team to our customers, we are eternally grateful for co-creating La Paloma with us.

Our Flavours

Paloma is unique in the sense that there are two different concepts in one, united by the same passion and attention to quality which reflects in every dish from day to night.

During lunch you can savour a middle eastern inspired menu, and when the sun sets, the Italian essence makes its way to the table.

In both we choose to use carefully sourced ingredients, local and organic where possible supporting ibiza’s farmers as well as small Italian projects.
